Americansingles Review - Good Or Bad?
Americansingles Review - Good Or Bad? by Mark T. Davis
This AmericanSingles review will give you an idea of the services offered by the site, as well as the advantages and potential drawbacks of becoming a member. It's my goal that at the end of this review you'll have a good understanding of AmericanSingles and whether or not a membership to their services is right for you.
My first thought upon going to the AmericanSingles website was "Hey, I think I know this website..." Sure enough, my déjà vu was due to the fact that AmericanSingles is owned by parent company Spark Networks. Spark Networks, a publicly held company, owns a ton of dating sites. They tinker with a demographic target here and there, create a website around it and charge different prices, depending on what they think people will be willing to pay. Some of the sites even use the same stock pictures.
AmericanSingles is a pretty run-of-the-mill dating site. Posting a picture and profile is free, but contacting another member requires a premium membership that costs money. Gay and lesbian friendly, this site will hook you up with a date no matter what your sexual orientation is.
If you're tired of sitting home alone, eating Campbell's Bean with Bacon condensed soup (cold and right out of the can) while waiting for Wheel of Fortune to come on, AmericanSingles might be a good way to get you out of the house. I suggest sooner rather than later, because crazy cat lady land is never more than a few pints of Ben and Jerry's away.
Overall, Spark Networks does a great job of targeting singles in specific demographics and AmericanSingles is no exception. The site is easy to navigate, takes less than a thirty minutes to set up a profile and the variety of its membership is unparalleled.
